Our People / Nutrition Dietetics

Back pain can often result in inactivity which in turn increases the chance of weight gain. This is a continuing cycle as then the increased weight gain can further increase back pain and delay injury recovery.

Dietitians are qualified to provide clinical care and counselling for people with food and nutrition concerns, they offer scientific principles and methods and apply these to influence food intake and eating behaviours.

Dietitians contribute to promotion of health, prevention and treatment of illness by optimising the nutrition of individuals and communities.
