Quit Smoking Through Hypnosis

Today, in the Twenty first Century, many people are still unsure as to what hypnosis actually is. Television programs and stage shows have produced a mixture of responses in the general public, such as curiosity, confusion, fear and scepticism.Hypnosis is not just a recent phenomenon. It has been noted that as far back as ancient Egypt, that the art of suggestion was used in ‘sleep temples’ where priests put worshippers to ‘sleep’ and suggested they be cured.

There is a constant stream of information alerting the smoker to the health perils of their addiction, and still many struggle to give up. Even with the best intention ‘the craving’ finally wears down their will and resolve. This is where hypnosis can be of great value. It provides the opportunity to address underlying feelings, states and behaviours that keep the addict locked into addiction.

One important aspect to the success of the session is the clients desire to give up. They must WANT to give up. If they are ambivalent it is better they wait until they are ready.

The feedback clients give is that they are surprised that quitting, after hypnosis, was not so much a ‘willpower’ battle as the craving seemed to have less power than before.

The treatment involves ONE session which last between 1-2 hours. Most people report that the session is relaxing, enjoyable and EFFECTIVE.
